Somebody once wrote me, asking, “There are a large amount of teachers and students of A Course in Miracles on the market, but there should be a thing that you’ve hooked into, or caught onto? Something that triggered a transformation or even a major healing. So, that which was it?”

“Trust,” I said.

Think about your lifetime as it seems to be these days with regards to the story. How can we answer the question; “Who do I trust? Where do I think my safety lies? How will I be sustained? Who’s my source?” So whenever we discuss the past stage of the awakening being pure trust, author of a course in miracles  it’s simply about disengaging and withdrawing our faith and rely upon most of these made-up concepts, beliefs, and ideas in the world. It’s a lot like making a big house of cards, stacking on a single card after the other. Then a good wind arrives and poof, it’s only blown over. It can’t even stand only a little gust of wind. It’s so frail. It’s so temporary. It’s so transitory; It had been this sense of placing rely upon the Spirit and withdrawing rely upon the rest; those issues that were identified and learned as worldly accomplishments. Why should we rely upon those? Have they ever brought us lasting peace and happiness? Are they really trustworthy? It really comes down seriously to the essence of who’s my brother? Is it Spirit or matter? Is it Spirit or form? Furthermore how most of us have tried trusting people? Has anybody tried that certain?So you’re asking the question, “If someone dies or seems to be dying of starvation, what does that say about their mind?” Where this is heading would be to the awareness that everything is mental. What this awakening will show you is that everything is mental and that everything is just a hallucination. This really is a full world of ideas and what we call manifest reality, isn’t reality at all. There is no distinction between thought and form. Jesus has to create his whole workbook in A Course In Miracles on making the connection between thought and form. His lessons start with, “Nothing I see means anything,” (W-1) and, “I have given everything I see all the meaning it’s for me.” (W-2) Then, He works his way as much as number 4, “These thoughts don’t mean anything&rdquo ;.Now, He’s speaing frankly about thoughts. First He’s speaing frankly about perception, then about our thoughts, then He comes home with lessons 5,6,7,8,9 … perception, perception, perception, perception, perception … and then number 10, “My thoughts don’t mean anything.” You will see he’s trying to melt everything together and show the past veil or stage of awakening, that will be trust.

The Holy Spirit uses time and energy to teach us there’s no such thing as time, to take us back to that particular timeless moment that is the gateway to eternity. He uses symbols to show us that they are all illusions and that they are all equally meaningless. That’s precisely the way of operation of Holy Spirit. The Spirit has to utilize the mind to loosen the attachments from the investment in all sorts of things. What type of things can you invest in, these days?
